End User Functionality:

  1. In the Issues/Topics Details screen, the user drop downs will be filtered by the group to which it belongs. This is to enable end users to view only users belonging to his/her region.

Home Page:

  1. Instead of Creator Name which used to be shown, the items grid will show the last updated user name. 

Issues/Topics:

  1. Option to copy a Public issue/topic and create a new internal issue/topic from the same. This can be performed using the new 'Create Internal Issue' button in the Issue/Topic detail screen. This will be available only for Public items/topics.  The system will do the following:
    1. Create a new issue/topic and copy the header info. System will not copy the comments/attachments, since this is a duplication.
    2. Add the original issue/topic as the parent for this one.
    3. Create a new comment which gives a link to the parent issue/topic.

Home Page:

  1. Welcome message with current logged-in user name will be displayed on top right corner. This will be useful in cases where multiple users login from the same machine.
  2. System message shown above the item grid announcing new releases and special messages.

Issues/Topics:

  1. New user role 'Public' added in the administrative module. Users created under this role will have access to special issues/topics which have been flagged as 'public'.
  2. New field 'Type' added in the 'Issue Detail' screen. For normal users, option to select either 'Internal' or 'Public'. For 'Public' users, this will not be visible. Used for customers to add their issues, but hide the internal issues from them

Notifications:

  1. Notification message will now have the last comment added in the message itself.

Issues/Topics:

  1. Added a new checkbox 'Auto E-mail'. If this check box is ticked, the system will automatically send notifications on the last saved e-mail list when the 'Save & Exit' button is clicked. (The system will save the E-mail notify list when the 'Send Notifications' button is clicked on the Notifications tab).
  2. Notification Email -> Subject to show the topic's project name also.
  3. After sending notification email, system will display a status message.

Home Page:

  1. Query Field: The issues can be filtered by already defined project queries. For e.g. if we define a query to show only items with category 'Submitted', it can be used to refine your item list on demand. Please note that the queries will be selected only when a project has been selected.
  2. The list will retain the selection criteria, even if you go to the detail screen and come back.
  3. What's new link. Check out this link to find out what new features have been added/bugs have been fixed from the last release.

Issues/Topics:

  1. New button: You can create new issues/topics without going out of the screen.
  2. Previous/Next buttons: You can navigate the list on the main screen using these buttons. This will keep the sort order in the main screen.
  3. Done button has been renamed as 'Save & Exit'
  4. Tooltips/shortcuts given for all buttons except 'New'.

Attachments:

  1. Warning message: System will display a confirmation message when a file is selected.
  2. Check valid types: System will validate the file types selected. Currently, it supports the following types:
    ".txt",".doc",".xls",".ppt",".pps",".pdf",".zip",".rar",".jar",".htm",".html",".mzp"
  3. Delete: System will allow you delete an attachment added by mistake. However, if any further modification has been made on that issue/topic, the system will not allow a delete. Also, the delete will be allowed only to the user who has added it.

Notifications:

  1. Facility to add an additional Email body while sending a notification. This text will not be saved in the system.
